Local Authority Head Office Soft Strip Out and Refurbishment.

The project consisted of an office refurbishment to the first, second, third and fourth floors which was split into six carefully planned phases incorporating general alteration & refurbishment works, plumbing and electrical alterations, suspended ceiling renewal, window replacement and new flooring.

The project continually needed careful and methodical planning as the building was located in a high density area of commercial buildings with retail units. The building was also occupied during construction for day to day office activities, civic functions etc. so the Health and Safety of the Staff and visitors was of prime importance.

Close liaison was necessary with the occupants of the building and our site workers to ensure all site activities ran smoothly and in tandem with daily office activities.

The site was kept secure during the working day as well as at the end of the working day.

Working closely with the client and their appointed Consultants and designers the project was completed successfully within the contract period and budgetary constraints.

The project is an excellent example of the logistically challenging type of construction work that D.J. Ellis Construction Ltd is capable of undertaking.
