St. Stephens Junior School, Canterbury, Kent

This Design and Build contract entailed constructing a large extension to the existing School Hall with associated Changing Room and Function Room facilities.

The completed amenities boasted a state of the art mood lighting system, interactive speaker system, and premium grade sports floor system. Economical radiant heat panels and independent ventilation system perform to provide the area with comfort dependant on the sport, theatrical show or activity being carried out within the multi use hall.

With this particular project the School was occupied during construction work so the Health and Safety of the Staff and Pupils was of prime importance. Close liaison was necessary with the school staff and our site workers to ensure all site activities ran smoothly and in tandem with the day to day activities of the school. The site was kept secure during the working day as well as at the end of the working day.

Working closely with the School and their appointed Quantity Surveyors the project was completed successfully within the contract period and budgetary constraints.
