The Baptist Church, Cavendish Street, Ramsgate

Refurbishment of existing listed Church & Sunday School building within the conservation area of Ramsgate to create a Performing Arts & Media Centre for Clarendon House Grammar School.

External works comprised of renewing all natural slate roof coverings and replacement leadwork, new roof lights and installation of monodraft wind catchers to provide internal ventilation.

Works also included the overhaul & refurbishment of existing stainglass windows to street elevation & complete replacement of metal windows to rear elevation. Internal works comprised of a complete strip out of existing fixtures and fittings.

Structural alterations provided new accesses, construction of concrete frames,floors and staircases to provide an extra 2 levels within the existing Church and 1 additional level within the Sunday School. Erection of new staircases, partitions; doors & frames, plaster repairs, installation of suspended ceilings, installation of new platform lift & shaft. New toilets, floor coverings, new electrical installation complete with data cabling and re-siting of existing radio signal dish linking main school. Installation of new heating and natural ventilating systems, redecoration internally and externally and provision of new car park and pavings.
