The Old Gymnasium, Halliday Drive, Deal

Conversion of former Gymnasium into 11 spacious and contemporary luxury properties.

The gymnasium (previously used by the Royal Marines) was the first one of its kind and is set within a conservation area in the town of Deal.

Vertically divided into two parts, the central core of the building now forms a covered, vaulted courtyard style atrium.

The way in which the Gymnasium was divided enabled us to retain and incorporate the original metal roof trusses and oak beams in nearly all of the properties.

Principal features of these award winning properties included;

Contemporary fitted kitchens with integrated appliances and a choice of Corian or Granite work surfaces, luxury bathrooms, solid oak flooring and doors, under-floor heating, elegant glass chrome galleried areas, ambient lighting system and audio visual system to provide surround sound to all rooms.

The external areas of the properties had paved private courtyard gardens.The scheme also incorporated carefully planned landscaped communal gardens with private parking area and cycle store all constructed using high quality materials.

The conversion of The Old Gymnasium is a prime example of just what can be achieved when a building of such importance and magnitude is converted to space for residential occupation, and this is one project where vision, inspirational ideas and an unbridled passion have taken a redundant historic building and turned it into a most exceptional, fashionable and welcoming collection of homes.
